BLOG: Vacation Land

Thursday night.

Here we are back in Thailand. Gotta love it!

I have not updated because I’ve been sleeping for most of the time I’ve been here. I don’t get much sleep in Hong Kong. I went out the first night I got here but I have stayed in to sleep the last two nights. I need my beauty rest!

So how’s Bangkok? Grand. Just grand, as they say in Ireland, apparently. The hotel staff remember me, the ladies at the coffee stand remember me, the budtenders at the pot shop remember me, and everyone at the American Bar remembers me.

Oh do they ever! And apparently they have some complaints. So those have registered and I will resolve that complaint as soon as I’m not sleeping.

Then I got annoyed because the friend of the Hot Beef Stew was there but he didn’t say anything to me. I totally ignored him the entire time. I just let him sit there and listen in on my conversation. Get his intel for his friend, just in case his friend is asking about me.

Still I stew over the stew. He is very stew-able, as it turns out. Like, why isn’t his friend as obnoxious as he was before? Suddenly, Nothing to say? What changed there? Have you all been talking about me? I bet you have…

I know they have because there were several gentlemen in there who laughed when I came in, but I don’t think I knew any of them. They definitely knew who I was though. That was a strange moment, indeed.

Yes, I made sure I looked especially pretty so they would be a bit more forgiving about the book thing. It worked, and the situation was resolved in the end.

Except for one… still I look out the window and stew over him and all of the things I would say to him if I saw him again, which I most definitely will not. I don’t know why I think about it still. Because that’s what I do, apparently?

In the end I chose the spa, Grab delivery service, and long, luxurious afternoon naps in the magical cloud bed over men and their ridiculous antics.

Still I stew, still I stew…
