BLOG: Cats Do Not All Look Grey in the Dark

Tuesday afternoon. Way late in the afternoon. Almost 4:30pm. Off my routine today, if you can’t tell.

The reason? I woke up at 7am specifically to call The Publisher. I don’t know why. I just had a feeling from the Universe that I should call him and update him on my trip.

I told him about the WashPo writer and he got so mad at me. He was like, “You see? I KNEW it! I knew they were all gonna want your stuff as soon as you got out of here. I knew people would want your stories. I knew it. I just knew it. And you’re telling me you haven’t emailed him your stuff yet? What the fuck are you doing?! I better get a phone call from you TOMORROW saying you got off your ass and sent him a stack of stories tonight.”

I was like, “I knew I called you for a reason.”

He’s like, “I know you. I get it. You’re still all tied up in your emotional bullshit. Get out of your head. You already put in the work. Stop stressing over it and just send him a pack of stories. Just do it. Then go to New Zealand because the film industry has moved there.”

Okay, one step at a time there, fam.

Naturally, after we finished this conversation, I immediately fell asleep for the next four hours and accomplished nothing. I guess I’m gearing up for an all-night writing session now, maybe.

Now I’m posted up at the Pot Shop, watching people walk along the street. Love to watch the streets in Thailand. The budtender is very entertained by my dating stories in Bangkok. She says the guys here are mostly gross. I agree so far, lol.

Obviously doing nothing right now but staring off into space. I guess I’m just processing whatever it was that just happened. That was an experience. He promised me he would not leave me unfulfilled and he definitely lived up to that promise. That was like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life.

I don’t even know what kind of cat to describe this one as. Maybe like some kind of jaguar that stalks its prey through the jungle and pounces on them from a tree above before they even know what’s happening.

That means so far we have collected a mystical panther guiding us on a sacred journey, a charging lion ready to rip out our throat, and a crafty jaguar silently stalking us through the trees.

Men might be like cats, but they definitely do not all look grey in the dark. This theory proven to you here, live, in real time, from Bangkok, Thailand, on this earth, on this day of Tuesday October 14, 2025. No idea what year it is on the local calendar here. I think they’re at least 500 years ahead of us, which honestly explains a lot.

I’m debating now if I should go home or stay here and watch what happens live. I feel like I’ve been at home too much today. I should stay out and watch what happens live…

Who knows what exciting experience I could have at the United Nations tonight?

Feels pretty dead so far, tbh..
