Thursday afternoon. Hanging out in my cozy artist studio eating taro chips. It’s a vibe.

I called my grandmother and talked to her for two hours early this morning. It was about 7am my time and 8pm her time. I have not talked to her since before I left on my trip. I gave her the updates and told her about my trip so far. I was pleasantly surprised by how chill she acted about the whole thing. I was not expecting that at all.

Did some research on Phnom Penh and Da Nang today. By research, I mean scrolling through hotels.com looking for good deals. Wow! So much luxury as far as the eye can see. I guess that’s the benefit of post-war reconstruction projects. All new hotels and apartment buildings with luxury amenities. The market is pretty crowded, which drives the prices down. My research so far confirms that Phnom Penh, Da Nang, and Kuala Lumpur are affordable destinations. It basically comes down to a question of which rooftop pool you like best. What’s your instagram aesthetic?

Okay, let’s go. Let’s just add four more countries to my passport. Then we’ll see how it goes. Maybe add three or four more? Why not? Play the game. Get the content. Re-do the blog. Get the job applications done. Get my shit together. Be an adult. You know, the whole thing.
