Wednesday night. Somehow made it home after the ridiculous situation I got myself into on this night. Oy vey.
I went to the American Bar. There was no one there. It was okay because I realized I just wanted to be somewhere comfortable and familiar. Somehow that place reminds me of a shitty dive bar in South Dakota and includes a Mad Dog-esque type of character. No hot bartender like Andrew though. Sad. š
I agreed to follow this character to a second location because I was bored. He said we were going to a birthday party. Surprise! It was all old white men and uncomfortably young looking SEA women. It was not for me. None of this is for me. Iām so over it. I just went next door and got a spicy chicken basil rice instead.
Then I had to stand out on the street and wait forever for a ride because my phone was dead and we were on some random side street that no āgrabsā ever come down, apparently. I had no idea where I was. I was so over it. Then the cab driver dropped me off in the wrong place and I had to walk back on the shitty sidewalk.
Bangkok makes sense only if you imagine it as a canal with boats and not a road with vehicle traffic. It is not pedestrian friendly. Itās not for me. None of this is for me. I love Thai food so much though. š
Yeah Iām definitely starting to feel the Bali vibe. Letās see how ridiculous that situation turns out to be. Iāve heard so many things. I guess weāll just wait to see and find out. Time to stop messing around and start doing yoga!
Well now Iām home safe, so thatās good. Iām just like, so over it, you guys. The best part of my day was the tiny little salamander I caught lurking behind my shoes. So adorable! I tried to lure it outside with some dried fruit but it resisted me and disappeared instead. Probably camouflaged pink to disguise itself in my shoes. Someone remind me to shake them out before I put them on againā¦
The other best part of my day is the cat I see lurking around my apartment. It comes around my balcony and sneaks across when it thinks Iām not looking. Today I saw it sneak into the building through an open door and lurk around my front door. It reminds me of the cat I had when I lived in DC. They could be twins. It was very eerie. Like seeing a ghost from my pastā¦
Iām so tired now. Iām going to sleep. Goodnight.
