Tuesday afternoon. Sitting at an open-air cafe with a lemon soda, waiting on an order of fried rice and pad Thai. This is exactly what I thought Thailand would be like.
Today has been surprisingly productive for me. Definitely in Strong Independent Woman Mode. I started my apartment hunt and found quite a few in the area that are cheaper than my current one. Now I know where to look that isn’t Airbnb.
Also spent some time thinking about how I’m going to play the Hong Kong thing. I feel like I can say that it was a valuable teaching experience, but not the right job or city for me. I definitely gained some teaching experience through my training. It’s not like it was a total waste.
Very delighted to say that I did end up having my elevator confrontation with Ze German. I was wearing my rainbow dress and sparkly gold sandals and carrying a bright pink umbrella. It just felt like the perfect way to say “Go fuck yourself” without actually saying anything at all. He said I was like a rainbow on a cloudy day. Of course I am, lol. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Definitely walked away from that one feeling like I won something. Go me!
Meanwhile, the search is on. New job, new apartment, new life. All here in beautiful Thailand.
I like Bangkok in the rain. Such a vibe. Very calming and relaxing and peaceful. I really like it here a lot. I’m glad I accidentally landed here after my quick escape from Hong Kong.
Off now. The rain is so relaxing, it’s making me want to take a nap. Definitely gotta get my leftovers for takeaway. I am already so full…
