Monday.
Currently at the Secret Society. There is no one else here except for me and my casual bartender friend. It is what it is.
I spent most of the last week cooped up in my shoebox working on my book outline. I believe Thursday night is the night when I finally cracked and went completely insane. It happens! It was ugly. I don’t want to talk about it.
I decided to take my mind off of everything by going to see The Odyssey on Saturday. It was not my favourite adaptation. It was very testosterone-fueled. Just a lot of men and war and gritty Batman-style narration. The pacing was killer, especially for a three hour movie with no intermission. Let’s just say I was relieved when the journey finally came to an end. It left me drained and exhausted.
Overall, I prefer the Wishbone version. The End.
Otherwise, I spent the weekend a prisoner of my neighbor’s Muse. Weird. Needless to say, I was ready to get the fuck out of my house tonight. There might not be any old British bankers here to toy with, but at least I can clear my head and get some writing done. Who cares if I have to hike all the way up to the Mid-Levels to do it?
Is my head clear now? Somewhat. Sort of. It could be clearer. It could be clear enough to get my paperwork sorted out so I can achieve HKPR status. Instead I am just sitting here like… all over the place.
Let’s just say… life would be much easier if I could find someone to marry me, haha. Looking around this room right now… that seems… highly unlikely, lol.
Alas.
What else do I have to write about? Ugh, nothing. I am so focused on assembling this new book. I have no energy to collect new adventures, new accounts, new characters, etc. I’m just going to have a couple of glasses of wine and watch the escalator until it’s time to wander on back down the hill and head on home.
